Established in 1974, The Cinch Saloon is a historic gay bar located at 1723 Polk Street in San Francisco's Nob Hill neighborhood. Its western-themed facade, dating back to the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition, adds to its unique charm. Inside, patrons can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with two pool tables, a pinball machine, and a back patio for outdoor seating. The bar is known for its affordable drinks and friendly service, making it a welcoming spot for both locals and visitors. In June 2025, the bar was acquired by Scott Taylor, the beverage director at nearby Harris' Restaurant, who aims to preserve its rich history while adapting to contemporary times.
