    Künstler Brewing, located at 302 E. LaChapelle in San Antonio's Lone Star Brewery District, was a brewpub that combined Bavarian tradition with Texas pride. Opened in 2017 by Vera and Brent Deckard, the name "Künstler," meaning "artist" in German, reflected their approach to brewing. The brewery specialized in a diverse range of beers, including traditional German styles, hop-rich IPAs, and complex Belgian styles. Signature beers included Edelweiss Pilsner, Cashmere Hefeweizen, Debigulator Bock, and Dieter Dunkel. The food menu featured authentic European-inspired dishes, prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, reflecting a fusion of German and Texan flavors. The warm ambiance, reminiscent of a traditional German tavern, included an outdoor beer garden and a sports room for live events.
