    Prohibition, located at 1556 Main Street in Columbia, South Carolina, is a 1920s-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant that opened in the spring of 2024. The venue features a spacious, full-service bar running the length of the dining room, leading to a large stage at the rear for live music. A private mezzanine area overlooks the space and stage, making it an ideal spot for larger parties and private dinners. The menu offers a variety of tapas-style dishes, including seasonal snacks and shareable plates, categorized by vegetables, seafood, meat, and oven-baked items. Beverage Director Jim McCourt curates an extensive whiskey collection and an imaginative cocktail menu, complemented by a thoughtfully constructed beer and wine selection. Prohibition is open Monday through Wednesday from 4pm to 12am, Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 2am, Saturday from 11am to 2am, and Sunday from 11am to 12am.
