Schubas Tavern, nestled in Lakeview, is a historic venue that has been hosting live music since 1989. The building, a neo-Gothic gem from 1903, was originally a Schlitz Brewery "tied house," and its distinctive architecture still features the Schlitz emblem. Inside, the front bar area offers a cozy space with a 30-foot Brunswick mahogany bar and a selection of over 70 spirits. Beyond the bar, a narrow hallway leads to an intimate back room where live performances take place, accommodating up to 150 people. The venue hosts a diverse lineup of music seven nights a week, ranging from rock and folk to country and jazz. Adjacent to Schubas, the Tied House brewpub serves craft beer and Midwestern cuisine, including Schubas' famous mac and cheese.
