    Cooper River Brewing Company, established in 2015, was a staple in Charleston's craft beer scene, known for its traditional ales brewed with time-honored processes. The brewery's taproom, located at 2201 Mechanic Street, offered a comfortable, air-conditioned interior and a spacious outdoor patio. In June 2025, after more than a decade of operation, the brewery announced the closure of its taproom, though production and distribution of their beers continue.
