The Monte Bar & Casino, located at 2824 1st Ave N in Billings, Montana, is a local favorite that has been serving the community since the 1990s. In 2021, the LaFever family revitalized the historic building, restoring its 1930s-1940s "streamline modern" architecture while preserving classic elements like the custom glue-laminated wood bar top and vintage Star Dust casino carpet. The space features a comfortable casino area with the latest keno, poker, and line game machines, as well as a game room equipped with dartboards, vintage arcade games, pinball machines, and a foosball table. Adjacent to the bar, patrons can enjoy food from the Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant next door while watching games on two large flat-screen TVs. The Monte is also known for its weekly jello shot specials and fresh string cheese from Wisconsin. Operating hours are Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 12:30 am.
